Rover & Ranger Unit
Introduction: The Scouts/ Guides is a voluntary non political International Educational Movement for young people, open to all without any discrimination on the origin, race or creed and sex in accordance with the purpose, principles and methods concerned by the founder of scouting movement Lord Baden Powel in 1907. It was formed to support young people in their physical, mental and spiritual development, so that they can play constructive roles in society with a strong focus on the outdoors and survival skills. Rovering/ Rangering is the Senior Wing of Scouting & Guiding. Any regular student of College/ University between the age group of 15-25 years can be enlisted as Rover (Boy) / Ranger (Girl). The Bharat Scouts & Guides is the National Scouting & Guiding Association of India which was formed in 7th November 1950 in all over India, though it was introduced first in Bangalore during 1909.
